Bradley's GPS Diary Program

My mother has done a lot of genealogy work, and she has found very old cemeteries out in the middle of woods or in the middle of a field that is fenced and gated. Since we have ancestors buried in the cemeteries, we want to keep track of where they are. But the descriptions of the areas around the cemeteries is undoubtedly different today than it will be in 30 years. But their longitude and latitude coordinates will never change.

So I wrote this little program for my mother to take a laptop and GPS to the cemeteries. All she has to do is type in her note and hit a button and the progam dumps the coordinates, along with her note, to a text file.

So if anyone is interested in this program, here it is, free of charge. You may also freely distribute it, provided you give me credit. I have also included the source code (VB 6.0).

I make no claims as to the quality of the program, or its usefullness. I have not found any bugs, but some may exist. If you like this program and find it usefull, great! If you hate this program and think it's useless, great!

By the way, it may take 30 seconds or so to get the first data from the GPS when you turn it on.
